Liners is an independent project for collectors of physical music — vinyl, CD and cassette. This page is a working draft written in plain language; it is not legal advice. If anything here is unclear, email hello@liners.me.
By creating an account or using Liners, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use Liners. One account per person.
Your collection, diary entries, ratings, reviews and lists are yours. By posting them you grant Liners a limited licence to store and display them so the service works (for example, showing a public review to other collectors). You can export or delete your content at any time from Settings → Your data.
Album artwork, titles and related metadata are provided by third-party sources (including Spotify and Apple/iTunes previews) and remain the property of their respective owners. Liners caches this data only to display it to you.
Liners is provided “as is”, without warranties. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We aren't liable for lost data beyond what the law requires — so keep your own exports if your collection matters to you.
This explains who runs Liners, what we collect, why, the legal grounds for it, and the control you have. It's written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data-protection law.

We process your data on these grounds (GDPR Art. 6):
We don't sell your data and we don't run advertising. We rely on a few processors to run the service:
Your account and library are stored in the European Union (Supabase, Frankfurt region). Some processing — content delivery and metadata — may occur on servers outside the EU; where it does, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
From Settings → Profile & privacy you can:
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
You can exercise the main ones yourself — export your collection and diary, and permanently delete your account — from Settings → Your data. For anything else, email hello@liners.me and we'll respond within one month.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and the database is protected by row-level security so each collector can only reach their own data. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable measures to keep yours safe.
Liners isn't intended for children under 15. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this page as Liners evolves. Material changes are noted by updating the date above and, where appropriate, a notice in the app.

These terms and this policy are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.
